Andre DesRoches: I am a pilot with one of Canada's major airlines. I "discovered" value investing in the mid to late 1990's and immediately identified with the idea of buying something for less than it's worth then holding it until the market figures out it's true value. I started to seriously apply the value framework in 2001. I look for good companies that are cheap. However, that is easier said than done, but I enjoy the process. If you're interested in value type situations in the markets than I hope you find my blog interesting. Over time I will outline some of the trades in my personal accounts and my succussful investment club. Also, I will post interesting articles regarding value investing. More on investments later... I also enjoy spending time with my beautiful family and playing golf, squash and skiing. I've also been known to cast the odd line, in pursuit of the champion large mouth bass. That, also has been easier said than done. Welcome aboard.
